Cyanotype is a photographic printing process developed by British chemist John Herschel in 1842, traditionally used to reproduce technical drawings. It involves placing a negative on paper (or other surfaces like fabric or ceramics) treated with a light-sensitive solution, then exposing it to sunlight to produce beautiful blue-toned images.
In this two-hour workshop, participants will explore cyanotype as a fun, eco-friendly alternative art form. Using sunlight (or UV light), water, natural materials, and creative techniques, each person will produce two unique prints.
